End of Year Notes
From Your Favorite Coach :)
Okay. Here we are. December 20, 2025.
My role as certified coach has turned up these last few months. My clients have felt the urgency of change and have brought their readiness in our sessions - ready to change, ready to move, ready for something new, ready to let go, ready to be surprised, ready to make a choice - all kinds of readiness.
From October - December something sparks within people. It either gets you back on the wagon, back on the horse, back in the routines, before winter takes its course. Or it bitch slaps you, and you’re looking at the date and thinking “how is it almost 2026?”
You can also feel both at the same time. Such a concept.
But the one thing that is true no matter where you’re at = You must always prepare for winter, as it is a seasonal experience inside and out.
Our inner selves begin to hibernate in some way. The winter may bring up old nostalgic memories. Or even too much time to think - what am I going to do next? And get lost in our quest of life admin adulthood or completely avoid it all together and sleep right through the winter ignoring reality and indulging in delusion.
And you know what same response comes out of me no matter what my client is navigating?
Where are your tools?
What do you current go to in times of overwhelm? Ideally, what tools do you want to instinctively go to? How do you remind yourself that you always have them wherever you go?
Because the moment we see the sabotage, we see the pattern that needs to be broken, we have a moment of clarity to see where we want to go - we give space and awareness to it all. We can hold the understanding that there needs to be a new strategy put in place. And the ability to follow through and execute.
The “just do it” approach.
The baby step of “I see the pattern”.
Great.
Keep practicing.
Catching yourself, catching your self.
Another baby step.
Consciousness activates.
What do you choose to do next?
Do you see the pattern and ignore your desire to change and just do what you know? Or does this awareness give you a chance to say NO to the pattern and go in a different direction.
What direction would you like to go?
You can always try again. The game of life. Just don’t push your luck too much. There’s always a stopping point in some way. The Universe will step in if they need to really get it through to you. Trust me on that one.
So, instead of reaching for potato chips when your mind starts to think itself into overwhelming chaos - put a note in the pantry “it’s okay to take a break and go outside and take a walk” - a moment to help the self be reminded - “go to your tools”.
So as we close up this year, ask yourself what have you gone to for self soothing during the year? It was a doozy, so do your best not to judge yourself. If you see habits or things that you know needs to change - that data is exactly what we are looking for!
When you get to know yourself, you get to learn how to help support yourself in ways that you truly need the help. We aren’t supposed to do everything by ourselves, but in some way, we will always be by ourselves. Being with ourselves.
And if you need help? Hire a coach (but for real). The coach is designing to keep you on track, keep you going, and reflect clarity to you. So if you’re struggling in overwhelm and need a space built for clarity and strategy - what is going on or where to go next - I got you.
And if I’m not the right match for you, I know a bunch of other people too.
No matter what changes around us, we do our best to practice presence with the our selves. Maybe this coming year, spend time with ways to get to know yourself, kindly and confidently. To break the old habits, and begin new adventures. To believe you are capable and deserving of what you most desire in your heart.
And that you allow yourself to dream more optimistically in 2026.
We wish you a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year.
Warmly,
Caitlainne
